Krishna, Why are we lost when in a dangerous position?
Bhagavad Gita 2.10
Reason for Krishna’s smile.
tam uvāca hṛṣīkeśaḥ
prahasann iva bhārata
senayor ubhayor madhye
viṣīdantam idaṁ vacaḥ
O descendant of Bharata, at that time Krishnas smile, in the midst of both the armies, spoke the following words to the grief-stricken Arjuna.
Krishna’s smile
Prabhupāda: So when we become very serious in a dangerous position, as if we are lost, but Kṛṣṇa smiles. You see? Sometimes we think… This is called illusion. The same example, just a man in dreaming, crying, “There is tiger, there is tiger. It is eating me,” and the man who is awakened, he smiles, “Where is the tiger?” (chuckles) “Where is the tiger?” And this man is crying, “Tiger, tiger, tiger.” Similarly, when we are very much perplexed…
Just like the politicians, they are sometimes perplexed in political situation and claiming, “This is my land, my country,” and other party also claiming, “It is my land, my country,” and they are fighting very gravely.
Kṛṣṇa smiles, “What these nonsense are claiming ‘my country, my land’? It is My land, and they are claiming ‘my land’ and fighting.” Actually, the land belongs to Kṛṣṇa, but these people, under illusion, claiming, “It is my land, it is my country,” forgetting how long he shall belong to this country or this nation. That is called illusion.
(Lecture on BG 2.8-12 — Los Angeles, November 27, 1968
It us the ego that makes us thinks that we are doing everything and hence worried about the results. That is because of the illusion or maya created by Means and that is why He smiles at our predicament. If we shed our ego and accepts that everything is done by Him then there is nothing to worry and means that we accept His supremacy then He smiles but that is out of joy. .

Krishna: Shed and surrender, will make you do wonder
Don’t you think ego or modesty or arrogance or soft natured or simple or complex are all the games the Almighty plays and we have no control on us as we are nothing but a minuscule part of Lord Krishna’s Visvarupa? Eventually regardless of what we are we attain the abode of the benevolent Krishna, the God as we are created and destroyed by HIM.
Yes that is called His leela vibhuthi and we should not fall into His prey and by constantly remembering Him ,we will please Him and become part of His Kripa Vibhuthy . Once that is achieved then He will go out of the way to help us and extricate us from this maya delusion. Chant Jai Krishna and be in the Krishna consciousness always. That is the medicine in this Kali yuga.
If that is the case what explanation we can give on how Kamsa was granted to reach the abode of God Krishna by HIM?
You have raised a very pertinent question. You may be aware of Navarasa. Prem ,anger,(Rowdhram)fear are among those navarasa. Radha was constantly remembering Krishna out of Prem or love, Sisubalan was constantly thinking of Krishna by way of cursing Him,whereas Kamsa was always on constant fear from the day he heard that the eighth child of Devaki will annihilate him. So whatever rasa a person shows towards Krishna either by prem or fear ,the constant utterance of His name and ,that itself ultimately takes him to the abode of Krishna.
Similarly Hiranyakasibhu also of the same category ,and even though God gives them the requisite punishment for their evil deeds, in the end He grants them the sacred abode. That is the power of Nama Sangeetham .
Jai Sri krishna.🙏🙏🙏
