Recite this song, in the format of Kalittuṛai Andādi, composed out of overflowing love on the lotus feet of sage Rāmānujar by Tiruvaraṅgattamudanār who has excellent qualities.”
Note: Kalittuṛai Andādi is a format in which the last word of the previous song becomes the first word of the next song.

“O Rāmānuja, who defeated the six philosophies which interpret Vedas wrongly! This is my appeal to you. Your devotees recite a specific number of songs and thus serve your lotus feet by the faculty of speech. Please be merciful to me so that those divine names recited by them remain on my tongue day and night.
Note: Six philosophies: Bauddha by Sākya, Naiyāyika by Ulūkya, Vaiśeṣika by Akśapāda, Jaina by Kṣapaṇa, Sāṅkhya by Kapila, and Yoga by Patañjali. Instead of Naiyāyika and Yoga philosophies, Cārvāka and Pāsupata philosophies are included by some.
